American Idol: Can we all go ahead and agree that this is the worst season ever? The judges keep sending these weird smoke signal-like mixed messages to these poor kids because they don't know what else to say to them. I'm sure that they feel bad that they actually selected these kids to be on the country's biggest talent show. I'm still loving Crystal Bowersox and if she doesn't win, I think that we'll see a country-wide riot... She's clearly the only person that consistently performs well.

Amazing Race: So, I'm still loving Steve & Allie. They were my sleeper team from day 1. I just started paying attention to them a few weeks ago. I love that Steve talks about getting tanked on every episode! I also didn't realize that he is a Professional Baseball Coach (Cleveland Indians) and a World Series Champion Coach (2008 Philadelphia Phillies)! So cool (Go, Indians)! The models continue to get dumber and dumber with each minute of each episode. I guess they've soaked in some of Jeff and Jordan's ignorance and it's slowly but surely leaking out. SO surprised that those two are still on there. Anyway, I almost had a heart attack when it looked like the Cowboys were going to be eliminated. Those two are pretty entertaining. It's not looking good for them on the next episode, though. :(

Caprica "End of the Line" 3/26/10
Caprica wins the award for most content put into a mid-season-break "finale" ever. Seriously, I could barely keep up with all of the story lines in this episode. I really wish that the writers would've put some of this content in previous "content-lite" episodes. Here are my highlights:
- Joseph Adama FINALLY finds his daughter, only to get "killed' out of the game by her.
- Daniel is officially broke. He has decided to sell the Buccaneers to Vergis. On top of that, the Army found out that the chip was stolen, so they're threatening to end their contract.
- Barnabas and Clarice have a little spat which ends with Clarice threatening to go to STO leadership and shut him down.

So, I managed to make it through another week of American Idol. Painful, Painful, and more Painful. Tim didn't sound as bad a Paige this week, but the dancing and the infamous knee slide were both unbearable. So many of the others were horrible, too, but Paige and Tim stuck out. Crystal did a great job, as usual. My only problem was that once again, the judges gave her confusing advice. I'm beginning to think that Kara is the leader of the bad advice crew.
Not to anyone's surprise, Paige was eliminated. I'm sure that Simon was embarrassed since he told her that she had the best voice out of all of the girls during the 1st episode of the Top 24 portion of the show. I never quite got into her, so I could care less that she's gone. I guess I'll continue to watch this season. At least it's something to write about.

Caprica "Ghosts in the Machine" 3/19/10
This week, Caprica gave most of us what we were looking for: more time into the world of New Cap City.
Joseph Adama continued to search for his daughter, Tamara. This time, his guide, Emanuelle gave him a gun and some V-World drugs to help him with the game. This just proves that all "worlds" have drugs... LOL. Joseph got a chance to see how truly dangerous the game is very quickly after getting into a mini gun fight within 5 minutes of being there. After going back to the "real world", he received some much needed

Tonight's American Idol episode was a waste of time. The show started off with more lame Ford commercials/promos. From there, it continued to go downhill. Here are my highlights:- British guitar player performed... I can't remember her name and it's not worth looking it up-- she's the chick that was about to tour with MJ. Anyway, she should stick to playing the guitar because she can't sing.
- Ryan stalled throughout the entire show. He started asking the contestants random questions about "how they were feeling"; etc. I felt bad for them. All they wanted to know was whether they were safe or not.
Bad Girl's Club Reunion Pt 1 3/16/10

All I can say is: What a HOT MESS! Once again, these girls didn't disappoint me, nor did the Oxygen Channel-- They brought Perez back again this year to host the reunion show. Here are some of my favorite highlights:
- Perez telling Natalie that she didn't run LA and that she's not famous.
- Perez telling Natalie that Marcus isn't famous (as Marcus sat on & watched from the audience).
- Flo admitting that she looks like a man.
- Kendra pretending to be classy (after explaining that she's a low-key sex addict that has no respect for herself).
- Knowing that Amanda is pregnant by the 'Predator' (that guy scares me).
- Watching Amanda pull up her dress to show off her baby bump-- how ignorant...
- Watching Annie cover up her mouth as she giggled. Are your teeth that bad or was your collagen bothering you?
- Listening to Annie try to explain why it was OK to stand there while getting punched in the face.
- Listening to Annie try to explain why she called the police on her roommate.
- Natalie thinking it's cool to spit in someone's face. Ummmm, that's so Flavor of Love...
- The stupid blonde chick (her name is irrelevant) admitting that she "acted dumb" on the show. Ummm, you're dumb in real life, too.
Can't wait for part two!

OMG! How did these people get into the Top 12?! I feel like the judges are trying to make the best out of this horrible situation by just giving good feedback to people who sounded average. I must say, I had basically given up on Ellen (as a judge), but she was really funny tonight. Randy has slowly turned into the annoying one.
Highlights:
Highlights:
- I love how Katie's mom played a video of her singing horribly as a child. That should be a sign for the viewers.
Good Wife: Heart 3/16/10
Here are my thoughts on this episode:
- I am IN LOVE with Will!
- I was on the edge of my seat when Will and Alicia kissed!
- I was in shock when Alicia used took her sexual frustration and went home and screwed Peter!
- How awkward was it when Will showed up at Alicia's house?

Gossip Girl needs a pick me up ASAP. Not sure if it's the Serena/Nate storyline that's lacking, or the Chuck/mommy storyline, or the weird Dan/Vanessa storyline, but something needs to change.I miss Blair & Chuck scheming and I actually miss Serena & Dan.
So what's going on with Jenny? Why isn't she in school (or at least why don't they show it)? AND, where is Erik? Am I missing something? He literally disappeared lol.
Maybe it will get better next week... Til then.

This season of the Amazing Race has been more than interesting. Maybe the Producers told the people on this season to pretend to be dumb? I'm stumped.More than anything, I was surprised that some of the contestants didn't know what a baguette was. I think I recall Jeff calling the Baguette shop a bagel shop... smh. On top of not knowing how to pronounce baguette & not realizing that the clue was in the baguette, Jeff & Jordan managed to get lost, AGAIN.
Caprica "The Imperfections of Memory" 3/12/10
So, I'm still loving Caprica, although, this week's ep just wasn't as good as ep's 3 & 4. On every show, there's always at least one annoying character, and on this show, it's Amanda Graystone. It all started with her running to the microphone to tell everyone that Zoe blew up the train. Since then, she's evolved into a drug using basket-case. She's always either crying, or she looks completely out of it, or she's disheveled. It's actually getting pretty old. What's interesting is that Daniel doesn't even acknowledge that she's a little crazy lol. This whole piece about her dead brother, the accident, the flashbacks, & the convalescent home is SO random and left field. Where is all of this coming from and WHY? The story line is distracting me from the real premise of the show. I really hope that they wrap that story line up, soon.
I also think that the writers may be going too far with the "Sister Clarice" story line. We get it: she's a drug using, polygamist, fake nun, that believes in monotheism-- point taken.
At this point, the show itself is good. Just hoping that they speed it up a bit. I'm starting to get worried that there are other people out there like me, who are questioning the writers-- and the ratings need a boost.

WTF?! Mel B is seriously wearing a haircut that expired a year ago. Why in the world would this woman go out and shave the side of her head? I know their "behind" in Britain, but geez-- a year behind?!
Leona looks great, btw. To read more, visit JustJared's site: Leona Lewis & Mel B: Matt Goss Live!

I really haven't taken a lot of time to talk about this season of Idol. It's been extremely disappointing. First of all, I really miss Paula. I am still trying to understand why they have 4 judges. More than any other season, we've heard repeatedly that the contestants are confused by the judge's feedback. The reason why they're confused is because there are WAY too many people from different backgrounds giving them direction. We saw a little bit of this last year when Kara joined the cast, but it's even worse now with Kara AND Ellen.Three judges is more than enough. The chemistry is totally gone. At the start of every ep, there's always a scripted move from Ellen or Kara involving Simon; i.e. sitting on Simon's lap, or moving their chairs closer to Simon; etc. It's all fake. Outside of there being too many useless judges, they've picked awful

Not even sure what to say about this. Why would you spend 5 mins of your radio show talking about a 20something girl that just had the experience of a lifetime by getting nominated for an Oscar? Way to ruin this poor girl's dream by tearing her down in the most horrible way possible on national radio. I'm pretty sure that Gabby knows that she's overweight. No need for people to "remind" her at this point.
And what can I say about Robin Quivers? She really refuses to admit that she's black. Instead, she spends most of her airtime bashing as many black people as she possibly can. So sad that she would use her media outlet in such a negative way. Shame on the Howard Stern Show.

I was catching up on my daily celeb gossip and I came across the article on E! about Shane Sparks, choreographer/judge from So You Think You Can Dance and America's Best Dance Crew. This is really sad and I'm hoping that it;s not true. I'm no expert, but it sounds fishy that someone would wait 10 years to claim that someone "molested" them.
I miss some of his commentary on America's Best Dance Crew. He kinda distracted me from "annoying" JC.

So I just read on realitytv.com that Mia Michaels is getting her own show on Bravo! Can I just say that I LOVE Mia Michaels! If you check out this article, you'll see that she's actually planning to have three shows at some point. It sounds like Bravo is really expanding their program. It's SO crazy how they have exploded over the last 5 years or so. I watch their network more than the "big four"! Pretty interested to see the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, too.Bravo developing new docu-reality series starring Mia Michaels - Reality TV World - News, information, episode summaries, message boards, chat and games for unscripted television programs
The Good Wife: Fleas 3/9/10
The Good Wife is hands down one of my favorite new shows. Outside of my ridiculous love for reality, I really needed another good drama. I must admit, I'm still getting used to seeing Peter back at home, but I like that his return has added another layer to the show. I can literally feel the chemistry between Will and Alicia through my TV screen. It looks like they may actually kiss on the next episode! Can't wait!
One of the highlights of this week's ep was when Eli Gold confronted Becca (Zach's girlfriend) about tweeting lies about the Florrick family. My only issue with this was that Eli didn't tell Alicia or Zach that the "tweeter" was Becca! So, at the end of the episode, Becca shows up to "hook up" with Zach... and oh yeah, he's fresh out of condoms. All of us viewers are at home crossing our fingers that this horrible chick doesn't get pregnant.

Remembering Corey Haim: From Lucas to Lost Boy
Check out this article on E!:Remembering Corey Haim: From ILucas/i to ILost Boy/i
It's so ironic that I've been talking about 80's movies and 80's stars lately and then I hear that Corey Haim passed away at the age of 38! It's just so unbelievable. I was really rooting for the two Corey's; just hoping that they could pull it together and get their lives and careers back on track.
Feldman seems to be fairly "normal", but I always noticed that Haim seemed to struggle a bot more. I will always love both Lucas and Lost Boys. He had a few other movies that I liked, too, but those two were my favorite. Hollywood: JUST SAY NO! Geez!
Praying for Corey's family.
RIP, Corey.

OK, I read this story today on realityblurred.com. One of the two fat cops on Amazing Race has been linked to a cocaine ring in Rhode Island. I'm actually not surprised lol. It's kinda sad that this guy is under an internal investigation and has been assigned a desk job. What is this, The Departed or Mystic River or something?

This article from Yahoo really drove me to start missing John Hughes, AGAIN. I truly grew up watching his movies. Most of which are on my top 50 movies of all time list. Some of which are in my top 10 movies of all time list. notably, the Breakfast Club, which fluctuates as my favorite movie of all time... LOL. I really wish he wouldn't have stopped making movies so soon.
As a Midwesterner, I could truly relate to his "Midwestern suburban teen" story lines (even though I'm black and he rarely had any black people in his movies lol). So, the question of the night was: where was Emilio Estevez?! Everyone else from the Breakfast Club was there!
We miss you, J. Hughes!

So what did you guys think of this week's leg? I was actually rooting for the Cowboys because they make me laugh (oh my gravy), but when they caught that train instead of taking a cab, it made me once again realize how 'special' they are.
Are you bummed out that Team JJ came in last? NO, I'm not bummed. I'm actually annoyed that this JUST HAPPENED to be a non-elim leg... Ironically when the Big Brother people finish last. On another note, how funny is it that the two dumbest couples are in an
alliance (Team JJ & Team Models)? We almost fell off of the couch laughing at them on the subway.
Are you thrilled Team JJ came in last? I actually kinda like JJ; I just can't stand the ignorance. It gets

(4) Duke 82 (26-5, 13-3 ACC)
So, we stayed home on Saturday night to watch the UNC vs. Duke game since Jermaine is a dedicated UNC fan and I'm a dedicated Duke fan. We made wings, got our blankets out; etc. Unfortunately, at halftime, Duke was winning by 27 points. The game was borderline embarrassing. I've never in my life seen UNC play that poorly. This may be the 1st year that they don't even make it to the NCAA tourney. What's even sadder is that they're the defending NCAA champs. How common is it for the champs to not make it into the tourney the following year? So, back to my story... at halftime, Jermaine decided that he was going to watch some of Thursday's Survivor episode that he missed. This actually gives me the opportunity to talk about how Coach needs his own show

Really Good Oven-Fried Buffalo Wings Serious Eats : Recipes:
I made a variation of these wings last night. I actually marinated the wings in the sauce for about 4 hours (in a bowl-- covered) and then added the baking powder/salt combo for the last hour (because of all of the salt complaints that I read). I still question how much salt is needed with the baking powder (if any)—I lowered the amount of salt & they were fine. I LOVE the baking powder idea, though. My wings were perfectly crispy-- and I truly believe that the baking powder helped.
