Vampire Diaries 4/1/10 There Goes the Neighborhood

I love that the Vampire Diaries show is evolving week by week. I'm so glad that we're kinda over Catherine. Here are some of the highlights: 

• Stefan & Elena went out on a double date with Matt & Caroline. It was pretty boring. Matt likes cars; Caroline is insecure and jealous; Stefan is a sweetheart and he let Matt drive his vintage car. That sums it up!
  
• Melinda Clarke is on another show! This girl knows how to get a gig! The only bad thing is that she consistently plays the same type of character on every show. She's playing Matt's estranged mom who apparently disappears from time to time. She also has a bit of a drinking problem and she's slightly promiscuous. On this week's episode, she meets Damon at a bar and goes back to the house with him. Poor Matt ends up walking in on them so she left... AWKWARD!
• The Vampire people that have been locked away are all living at some old lady's house lol. There's a jerk-off vampire named Frederick who has a major chip on his shoulder and he's out to get Damon and Stefan. He actually showed up at their house with another vamp (who Stefan killed by the way), to attack them.
• Pearl (the leader of the Vampire people and Anna's mom) is hard core! She pretty much beat up the jerk-off, Frederick and she also showed up at Damon's house and threatened him forcefully. She seems to have an issue with Anna dating Jeremy, so I'm interested to see what happens with that.
• Speaking of Anna and Jeremy: One of the highlights of this episode was that Jeremy finally realized that vampires exist! He also realized that Anna was a vamp after he purposely cut his hand in front of her. The crazy thing was that he wanted her to suck the blood from his hand! After she had a small taste, she took off. Later on in the show, they met up again and Anna explained that what Jeremy did was very dangerous. She could've killed him. Then, he hits us with the clincher: He tells her that he wants her to change him! Jeremy wants to be a vampire!!!! Love it!
