Survivor 4/8/10 Season 20: Episode 08: Expectations

Every week, I sit at home and shake my head because I'm disappointed that the producers allowed Russell to be a part of this cast without giving the other vets an opportunity to observe his game play from his season. I feel like Russell has such an advantage this season that it's almost unfair. These people are going along with everything this guy says. But this week, Sandra made a power play of her own.
Here's what happened:

  • Coach was clearly upset about what happened to Boston Rob. He was pretty much sulking around camp.
  • JT found the hidden immunity idol (they don't really seem to be "hidden" this season) and he told the tribe that they were going to share it (yeah right).

  • At the reward challenge, the Heroes got their first look at the new tribe and they were all shocked that Boston Rob was eliminated. Unfortunately, JT made the wrong assumption that the Villains team had a "girl's alliance" that was getting rid of the guys.
  • Another 'bad assumption' was that the Villains thought that they were merging, so they packed up all of their stuff in hopes of a merge-- Didn't happen lol...
  • The Heroes won the reward again and they enjoyed a pizza party.
  • Sandra went back to camp to stir things up. She declared her hatred for each member of the tribe during her confessional (with the exception of Courtney) and she went on a mission to throw Coach under the bus to Russell.
  • At the immunity challenge, the Villains lost again... Partly due to Courtney being extremely weak and terrible at challenges (hence the reason why she's sat out on most of them all season).
  • Back at camp, Russell shared his plan to get coach out with the girls. Danielle thought that it was a bad idea and became adamant about getting rid of Courtney. Eventually Russell decided to go along with her. But Russell didn't realize that the rest of tribe was prepared to vote out Coach.
  • The big surprise of the night was that Coach was sent home, but not by Russell. Kudos to Sandra for planting the original seed.
I'm dying to see what happens next week. It looks like JT has concocted some type of plan to "save" Russell from the non-existent girl's alliance...
