So, I've had a chance to catch up on a few shows from the DVR this weekend. I was finally able to finish watching episodes 1 & 2 of Caprica. I think I'm going to like this series! I have to admit, it started off a little slow for me, but now that I get the concept, I think it'll be a keeper.
I also had a chance to catch up with a couple of episodes of the Biggest Loser. I have to admit, I'm still behind, but I've already come to the conclusion that the chick on the red team is this season's new "Tracy". If

I love Oprah!!!
So, I just finished watching Oprah call Jay Leno out for being selfish. Although Oprah is unbiased, she really asked Jay some VERY pointed questions. She literally asked him: do you feel bad, were you embarrassed because your ratings were so low, have you called Conan.... These are great questions and I was really hoping that he would answer them "correctly" and gain some sympathy from me, but he actually made me dislike him even more. He appeared to be very arrogant, made the whole situation about him, tried to make us believe that he made this decision so that his staff members could have a job. Yeah right, this is about him wanting to stay on TV by any means necessary.
Thanks for having him on, Oprah!!!

I am soooo missing Gossip Girl on Monday night's! I truly feel like something's missing! When I got home from work, I finished watching the Pregnancy Pact on Lifetime. I'm still in shock that it's based on a true story. I have never heard of anything like that before in my life! Teenage girls making a pact to get pregnant at 15 or 16 yrs old?!
Next, I got caught up on today's Ray J lost footage show. It was pretty boring until they showed his parents at the end. His mom is hilarious! She never wants to see him with anyone from these shows! I couldn't agree with her more!
After that, I watched one of my favs, Heroes. I was happy to see a little more Peter and Sylar and I was even

The Soloist?
Hmmm... tried watching The Soloist today. I've actually tried watching it several times. I found myself playing around on Twitter and basically falling asleep. Not sure if I'm missing something??? Not good!

So, we stayed home and watched the SAG Awards. The show was short and sweet! The winners were pretty much identical to the Globes' winners. Mo'Nique, Jeff Bridges, Glee, Mad Men, Inglorious Bastards, Drew Barrymore, Michael C. Hall, blah blah blah. Sandra Bullock had the best speech. She was the most natural and genuine. I'm happy for Mo'Nique, but her speeches are WAY too serious and deep. OK... we get it... you've won
Wasted Day!!!
Last night we went to a bonfire on the beach. Something about that experience completely drained my energy because I haven't done anything but sit on the computer all day long. I spent most of the day cleaning up my Twitter account. Clicking "Unfollow" brings me such joy! I must say, I did find some cool people to follow today, so we'll see how that goes.
I also spent time listening to new hip hop music online on allhiphop.com. There's certainly a lot of crap out there!!! There are literally like 7 versions of I Wanna Rock by Snoop. That's one way to ruin a hot song- make multiple remixes.
We're supposed to be going to the movies tonight, but I am literally exhausted. I kind of want to just sit her and flip back and forth between the Duke game and the SAG awards...

I was really moved by the performances on the Hope for Haiti Now special. I was most impressed by John Legend, Jay-z/Rihanna/U2, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake. The show was very well put together and organized. Some people complained about there being too many slow songs, but I was actually moved by most of them. So far they've raised around $30M. That's simply amazing!

I'm back
I've been gone for a while, but I've decided to post something new at least once per day. It's 2010, and we're off to a rocky start, thus far. We're currently dealing with a disaster that has devastated the small Republic of Haiti. I've been watching a lot of the media coverage and I've absolutely never seen anything like this before.
One thing that's disappointed me is that someone that I personally know said that she didn't understand why we're helping Haiti. She said that it's not our responsibility. This person happens to be from
Louisiana (although she has not lived there for years) and she said that we weren't "doing all of this" during Katrina. What are we doing now? We're doing the best we can, but it's not like we've cleaned up the entire
