Hell's Kitchen 4/30/09

It was down to Paula, Andrea, and Danny. The first challenge was to cook for 100 of LA's finest chefs and they would select the best dish and the worst dish. Paula had the best dish and Danny had the worst. Paula's reward was a makeover and a guest appearance on the local news channel. During dinner service, each chef had a chance to run the pass. I can't really say who did the best because they all had different styles. Overall, the three of them had a good dinner service. Chef Ramsey asked the three of them to nominate one person for elimination. Andrea voted for Danny, and Paula and Danny voted for Andrea. Chef finally made a good decision and got rid of Andrea! Go, Paula!

After last week's shocking vote, Coach and Debbie came back to camp in "scramble mode". They were completely kissing up to JT and Stephan. JT & Stephan did a good job making Coach and Debbie feel like they were safe. Sierra continued to get on everyone's nerves at camp. I'm not sure what goes on off-camera, but it's very clear that she must be a really annoying person. The reward challenge was a "guess who said it" challenge. To sum it up, it was made clear that Sierra is the "biggest loser" on the show. Stephan won the challenge and he selected JT and Taj to go with him. Erin went to Exile Island,

Before I get to the actual elimination... Jamie Foxx performed tonight. For all of you who weren't able to tell this: he can actually sing. Unfortunately, you couldn't hear that because he was using autotunes and his "hype man" was screaming the entire time... Anyway, tonight's bottom three was: Kris, Matt, and.... ADAM! What a shocker! what was even more shocking was that Kris was safe and Adam ended up in the bottom TWO! The crazy thing is- people never vote for the front runner. Once I saw that it was between Matt and Adam, I knew that Matt was going home- and he did... :(
I know that he'll have a bright future ahead of him...

This was the go-see episode and once again... two girls were late! I'm not sure why these girls just can't get this down!!!! Teyona won the challenge because she booked 3 out of 3 jobs. Fo and Celia were disqualified for being late. Nigel was the photographer on the photo shoot challenge which was a swimsuit challenge. Fo definitely did the worst because she kept doing weird poses. when they arrived at judging they found out that Fo booked 0 out of 5 go-see's, Celia booked 3 out of 4, Allison booked 1 out of 4, and Amina booked 2 out of 3. Allison and Teyona had the best photos. Fo and Celia had the worst (apparently they had a bad week). Unfortunately, Fo got sent home!!!! Once again-- the best looking girl will never win ANTM! It's pretty clear that Teyona or Amina will win!

This week, Bethenny went out on a date with a model. She tried very hard to convince herself that she didn't like to date attractive people, but give me a break- WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO DATE ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE...
Alex & Simon finished their renovation and I must say- I was shocked to see that it actually turned out nice. I noticed that they did a "product placement" on the show with the GE Monogram appliances. Clearly, they got them for free due to GE Monogram's deal with Bravo (Top Chef). I'm still trying to figure out how they got the $ to fund that remodel. Everyone came over to see it with the exception of Ramona, of course.
Jill decided to be the mediator by bringing Kelly and Bethenny together to iron

Tonight's guest mentor was Jamie Foxx because the theme was Ratpack Night. I was surprised to hear Jamie say that he'd work with Kris after the show because Kris is kinda boring to me. Once again, I thought that he did OK, but he didn't blow me away. Allison did good, but probably not good enough to keep her around much longer. Unfortunately, Matt was just OK again tonight. He really needed to do well, so I hated to see him do average. Danny blew me away tonight. He was awesome. BUT, hands down- Adam was AMAZING! I honestly feel that they can stop now because Adam has this in the bag!!!! I think that either Allison or Matt will go home on Weds. Probably Allison.

So much happened on this episode.. where do I start.
HRG tried to save Angela and Claire by sacrificing himself, so he got captured by Danko's boys.
Sylar pretended to be Danko & started shooting at the agents making it appear that Danko went rogue, so the agents took the real Danko to Building 26, where Danko was reunited with HRG. Sylar decided not to kill Nathan, so when Claire arrived, he left Nathan in the bathroom while he and Claire went to "meet the President". Hiro started having issues with his power and he started experiencing nose bleeds. Hiro and Ando made it into Building 26 and freezed time

Blair went on a mission to prove that Serena's new boyfriend, Gabriel, is a loser so she did what she does best- include Chuck. Chuck & Blair saw Poppy and Gabriel together. Blair tried to warn Serena, but as usual, Serena didn't believe her. Finally, Chuck & Blair got Poppy, Serena, and Gabriel in the same room. Unfortunately, Poppy & Gabriel were prepared to be called out, so they staged a break up. Serena fell for the trick (as usual) and declared her love for Gabriel. Gabriel persuaded Serena to con all of her mom's rich friends into investing in his business scheme. Unfortunately, Rufus secretly decided to be one of the

Clint survives another week! This week the cast had to create a Right Guard ad campaign to appear in Sports Illustrated starring David Lee (Knicks). Brande was the PM for Athena and Clint was the PM for Kotu. Jesse and Clint clashed because once again, Clint wasn't listening to anyone's ideas. Clint decided to incorporate some of Jesse's ideas, but he only wanted to execute them "his way". Meanwhile on Athena, Melissa continued to be paranoid. She just couldn't past the thought that Branda and Annie were conspiring against her. When everyone arrived in the boardroom, Joan proceeded to call Annie all types of names AGAIN and Jesse attacked Clint. The whole thing was kind of a

I might as well just cut to the chase on this one... The lead fluctuated for the majority of the episode. This week's road block was a killer! The racers had a choice between swimming 400 meters (relay style) or completing a synchronized dive. The problem with the challenge was that Jen, Kisha, and Tammy can barely swim, especially Jen. Jaime & Cara and Margie & Luke chose the swimming challenge. Both teams completed it fairly quickly, although it looked painful. Tammy & Victor chose the diving challenge. They tried it several times before realizing that they were never going to get it, so they finally switched to the swimming challenge. Jen & Kisha also tried the diving challenge, but Jen was terrified of the height of the diving board and the WATER. They also switched to

Poor Day 26... this episode was supposed to be about them and their album, but all everyone cared about was Danity Kane. The only thing that triggered me during the Day 26 portion of the show was that Que laughed at the "fighting clips" that they showed which I felt was clearly inappropriate. Acting that way isn't "funny" at all. He should be ashamed of his behavior. Also, I didn't understand why Robert had on leather capri's and why Willie (who I love) had a plastic hat sitting on top of his head???!!!

I also felt bad for Donnie because he continued to get overshadowed by both groups. He really seems like a

The models arrived in Brazil and they immediately had a challenge. The challenge was sort of a scavenger hunt and Fo & Natalie won. The 1st photo challenge was a martial arts challenge and Fo won. The next photo challenge was a "Carmen" challenge in an inner city neighborhood. Allison won that challenge. Because Natalie did poorly in both challenges, she was sent home. It came down to her and Amina. Hopefully, Amina will be sent home next week. Her voice is getting more and more annoying each week.

This was the Halloween episode. The ladies went to a pet Halloween party. Bethenny was roller girl, Ramona was Peter Pan, and Jill was Elle from Legally Blonde. Kelly did a head shot/Halloween party invitation photo shoot. Bethenny met with Alex to discuss her logo and her new cocktail line. All of the ladies (with the exception of Ramona) went to Kelly's Halloween party, but Kelly wasn't there. The ladies were upset, so they left. Kelly finally showed up extremely late and it appeared like she didn't know anyone at her own party. What was so strange about the situation was: if she's such a big celebrity, where were the stars, why didn't we see any of her "other" friends at the party.... strange....

Since no one was eliminated last week, we still have 7 contestants! This week was disco week. It was a pretty disappointing night. Lil was the worst, Anoop & Kris were boring, Matt was OK, Allison & Danny were good, and Adam was great. I actually started feeling a little bit bad for Lil when her eyes started tearing up, but I still can't figure out who she wants to be when she grows up. She looks different every week and she's always trying to sing a different "type" of song, but none of that has been working for her. Unfortunately, she has been off key for several weeks, now. Last night she was off key for the majority of the song. I was hoping that Matt would kill it, but he was just OK. I still don't get everyone's fascination with Kris. He hasn't impressed me, yet. I HOPE that Lil and Anoop are sent home tonight, but I feel that Matt's in jeopardy.

Heroes Season 3 Episode Recap "I am Sylar" 4/20/09

This episode was pretty much about Sylar, hence the title. Sylar continued to shape shift into Agent Taub so that he could go around capturing people with Danko. Hiro and Ando are still wandering around trying to save the world. Apparently, something's wrong with Hiro's power, now. Danko & Sylar went to capture Rebel (Micah) and Sylar suddenly got a heart and let Micah live/escape. He even let him crash at his (Taub's) house. meanwhile, Sylar began talking to his dead mom by taking on multiple personalities. His mom convinced him that he needed to be "someone important", so he decided to hold a press conference as Nathan Petrelli. Nathan and the others saw the press conference on TV, so Nathan decided to go confront Sylar (alone, as usual). When Nathan gets there, Danko shoots him with the tranquilizer gun. When Sylar turns his back on Danko, Danko stabs him in the back of the head. Shortly after, Sylar gets up and says: "that hurt". I can't wait to see what happens next!

This week, Serena returned back from Spain thinking that she was married to Poppy's ex-bf, Gabriel. Blair tried very hard to fit in with Nate's family. Nate found out that his grandfather was the person that turned his father in. Dan got a job at a catering company and ended up working at Blair's mother's party. Blair and Nate had a falling out over whether or not she'd "changed". Jenny started "dating" a guy from school. Chuck continued to sleep around with random chicks. In the end: Nate and Blair made up; Serena found out that she wasn't married to Gabriel and now they're officially dating; and Rufus decided that he's going to sell his gallery.

This week, Kotu's strategy was to contact Annie's poker rivals to try to get them to donate money for them vs. Annie. It was a good idea, but Phil called Annie and told her about it. Annie proceeded to GO OFF and the person that gave Natalie Phil's # and then she went off on Natalie. Their other strategy was to have Clint be the auctioneer at the auction. I have no idea why because he was horrible! Joan had to come out and save the day. During Athena's auction, Annie was awesome as the auctioneer. In the boardroom, Trump announced that Athena won and Kotu lost. Prior to this, there was yet another argument between Annie and Joan in which Joan proceeded to call Annie: Hitler. I

This week, the teams were in China. Tammy & Victor had a clear advantage because they speak Chinese. Everyone landed in China around the same time except Michael & Mark (of course). Jaime and Cara got off to an early start with Tammy & Victor not too far behind. At the first clue box, Luke and Jen collided. Luke got to the clue box first and Jen came up very closely behind him, so Luke put his elbow up (signalling: get off of me). Jen pushes him and calls him a b****. It was so shocking to see her call him that for so many reasons: #1- women should not call men that word- it's very degrading to a man; #2- leave the deaf guy alone. When they arrived at the next clue box, Jen rushed to get in front of Luke and she ran into the clue box and knocked

Bye, Aundrea! I was happy to finally get resolution on the whole Danity Kane situation this week. We've been wondering when Puff was going to end this mess. Clearly the other three girls weren't interested in coming back. Aundrea was just sitting around the house eating with no make-up on, and Dawn was just following Day 26 around stirring up trouble. It's been made very clear to us that Dawn is Puff's favorite. He decided to keep her around as a "writer" and he sent boring Aundrea packing. I pray that he doesn't try to put another DK together. It's over just like the other 50 groups he's worked with in the past. Just move on.

Since no one was eliminated last week, it gave everyone some time to talk about their strategies. The reward challenge was a white water rafting trip with food. Brendan, JT, and Debra were the three winners and they send Stephan to exile island.
While they were away, Brendan and JT bonded. When they got back to camp, Brendan created an alliance with Taj, JT, Stephan, and Sierra (so he thought). Meanwhile, Coach and Tyson still had their alliance with Stephan, Debra, JT, and Stephan. Brendan wanted to get rid of Coach and Coach wanted to get rid of Brendan. Tyson won immunity, again, so there was no chance of getting rid of him. The interesting piece was that JT was actually in the power position. Both "sides" wanted him to align with them and everyone constantly says that he's a nice guy. He had a choice of either sending Brendan home or Coach home. If it were me, I would send Coach home.
The title of this episode should've been called: Coach the Liar. He started off telling a story about being kidnapped by the natives during a kayaking trip in the Amazon. He clearly made up the most elaborate story ever. Then, he was asked about his morning workout. He proceeded to tell the group that it's a Chi technique that you won't find on google. It has to be passed down... He is a true exaggerator.
In the end, the group decided to get rid of Brendan (and his immunity idol). I felt bad for Brendan because he really thought that he was going to blindside Coach! Now, Coach and Tyson are going to treat Sierra like crap. I'm hoping that the group wises up and gets rid of one of them next week. If they're smart, they'll get rid of Tyson (if he doesn't win immunity). He seems to be the bigger physical & mental threat of the two.

Real Housewives of New York Season 2 Ep 9

This week, LuAnn met with the writer for her new book. Not much to say about it... not sure if people want to learn about manners from a reality TV star.
Simon had a breakdown because he planned a surprise for Alex that didn't go exactly as planned. He truly appeared to be psychotic and Alex almost looked scared of him in the limo.
Jill had a party at Zarin Fabrics. Mario proceeded to start yelling AGAIN about the tennis match. He's really trying hard to make a name for himself this season. It's actually pretty pathetic.
Ramona had a party to introduce her skin care line. Bethenny showed up and questioned her about the name of her line. It was kinda strange because her jewelry line is True Faith and her skincare line is called Tru Renewal. Bethenny made a good point: why didn't she just name them both the same thing. It's hard to identify both products with her because they have two different names with two different spellings of the word true... Ramona seemed to be annoyed with Bethenny's suggestion, so she proceeded to criticize her relationship with Jill. Next she told Bethenny that Jill only builds/lifts her up because she's weak. It was actually kinda mean.

This is probably the most disappointing season of Hell's Kitchen. None of these people should be running a restaurant.
Chef Ramsey took the contestants to Atlantic City to see the Borgata. Unfortunately, Robert became very ill and had to go to the ER. When they got back to LA, Robert came in to tell the group that he was going home because he has a heart condition. That was really sad to hear! I hope he gets better!
Next, Chef Ramsey had his version of an immunity challenge in which the contestants had to make their signature dish. Shockingly, Andrea won so she was immune from elimination.
During dinner service, all of the chefs sucked horribly. To me, Andrea was the worse, but since she was immune, Chef Ramsey told her to select two people for elimination. She chose Ben and Paula. Chef Ramsey immediately told Paula to get back in line and then he told Andrea to come up to face elimination. He proceeded to tell Andrea that she sucked and that she was lucky that he's not the type of person that goes back on his word. Next he told Ben that he wasn't going to send him home because Andrea was actually worse than him. So, no one went home this week. I almost hate that he is dragging this out at this point. my assumption is that Paula will win the show. She appears to be the best of the worst.

The prize was an appearance in Seventeen magazine. Teyona won the challenge and she picked Celia and Aminat to be in the photo shoot with her. It was nice to see Teyona and Celia put their differences behind each other.
The second challenge was posing on stage with Ciara! Amina was really bad this week. Everyone else did pretty good. Celia, Fo, and Teyona were my favs, again! Natalie is starting to get on my nerves... There was an issue with London's weight. Apparently, she's

This week Lil, Anoop, and Matt were in the bottom three just as I predicted. I was shocked to see Anoop sit down first. I figured that it would be between him and Lil. When I saw Matt and Lil standing there, I had a horrible feeling that Matt was going home. When Ryan said that Lil was safe, I cringed. I could tell that the judges were going to save Matt by the way that Paula and Kara were acting while he was singing. Thankfully, they did!!! There is no reason why he should've been on his way out. It should've been Lil! Vote people, Vote! Next week, two people are going home!

American Idol Season 8 Top 7 Performance Recap 4/14/09

Oh my, what a mess. Everyone pretty much sounded just "OK" last night. I would have to say that Adam probably gave the best performance. Most people thought that Allison did, but I think that she over sang it a little bit, but I still love her. Matt's starting to become inconsistent and it's scaring me. Lil definitely was the worst. She's trying too hard at this point. I can't even remember why I used to like her. I predict that Lil will go home this week!
The biggest disaster of the night was the decision to let only two judges speak at a time. OK, let's be clear- no one cares what neither Kara nor Randy think. Especially not Kara. She basically just repeats whatever everyone else says. I need to hear Simon's critique on EVERY contestant. I have a feeling that the structure will change by next Tues!

Celebrity Apprentice Season 2 Ep 7

This week, the challenge was coming up with an advertising display for Lifelock (identity theft company). Brian was the PM of Athena (even though neither Jesse nor Annie have never been PMs...) and Natalie was the PM of Kotu. The big nail-biter was seeing if Clint and Joan would get along. Kotu came up with a great display and marketing campaign. They virtually had no arguing at all, other than Clint getting on Herschel's nerves (not a surprise). Athena's display was very boring. Annie continued to complain and take control at the same time. Brande never seems to contribute at all (especially not on the creative side). Brian just sat back and let everyone else take control. Not to any one's surprise, Kotu won the challenge. Brian brought Melissa and Brande into the boardroom. When Joan found out that Melissa was going to the boardroom, she exploded and threatened to leave. She said that Annie told her that Brande sucked and that she was going to get Brande eliminated. Annie appeared to be two-faced because she said that Brian should be eliminated instead of Brande. She only said something negative about Brande's performance after Melissa did. When they went into the boardroom, Trump basically eliminated Brian instantly. Brian said (in so many words) that he didn't mind leaving; he was basically ready to go. After the elimination, Trump called everyone back into the boardroom and told them that their next challenge was starting now. Joan became the PM of Kotu and Annie became the PM of Athena. The challenge was throwing an auction to auction-off Ivanka's jewelry. When they returned back to their hotel room, everyone started calling their celebrity friends to see who would be able to attend the auction. For some VERY strange reason, Annie started kissing up to Brande. It was bizarre. I guess she's trying to position herself to have someone on her side just in case she loses the challenge. They episode is "to be continued", so I guess we'll find out more next week!

This week, the teams traveled to Bangkok. When they arrived, Margie & Luke shot into 1st place after completed the 1st challenge which was "screwing on a propeller onto a boat". Once the propeller was connected, the teams were to take the boat across the river. Jaime & Cara finished 2nd. When Tammy & Victor, Michael & Mark, and Jen & Kisha arrived, they all struggled with the challenge. When Michael & Mark and Jen & Kisha finished, both teams decided not to take their backpacks. Tammy & Victor finished last and they remembered Jaime and Cara taking their backpacks, so they went back to get theirs. The detour challenge was a choice between putting dentures in Thai locals' mouths or getting on a party bus and singing karaoke with some Thai locals (I think they were transvestite hookers). Margie & Luke chose the dentures challenge and everyone else chose the karaoke challenge. The only problem was that Michael & Mark and Jen & Kisha didn't have bags or money (and for some strange reason, Kisha left her shoes, too...). None of this surprised me. Both teams have been making costly mistakes for weeks. I've been saying that both teams were the weakest teams of the bunch.
Jen & Kisha decided to finish the leg without their bags. Michael & Mark decided to go back and get their bags without proceeding. Meanwhile, Margie & Luke finished the dentures challenge and arrived at the pitstop first. After the karoke challenge, Jaime & Cara arrived at the pitstop 2nd. both Tammy & Victor and Kisha & Jen arrived at the pitsop within seconds of each other, but Kisha & Jen were told that they had to go back to the boat dock to get their bags/passports, so Tammy & Victor came in 3rd. Meanwhile, Michael & Mark completed the karaoke challenge and arrived at the pitstop. Unfortunately, they were told that they incurred a 2 hour penalty because they paid the cab driver with their personal belongings vs. money. Once again, these guys screw up with following directions/rules! Kisha & Jen went back to get their bags and arrived back at the pitstop. They came in 4th.
To my dismay, this was a non-elimination leg... so, Michael & Mark were spared. They will have to complete a speed bump AND they will have to wait out the remainder of their penalty (they still have around 3 hours left). There is NO WAY they will make it through the next leg, so basically, everyone has a free pass next week.

Making the Band 4/9/09

Que is crazy-period. This guy has gotten into fights with Will, Brian, Robert (his "brother"), a cab driver, Screwface, and three random guys. Something's just not right with this guy. He is one of the most paranoid people I've ever seen. He thinks everyone is talking about him, he thinks everyone is trying to get him out of the group, etc. He kept screaming; "you're the problem" to all of the guys. He's really crazy- he truly believes that four people are the problem, not him. You can truly tell that Brian and Will just don't like this cat. He's not someone that they'd ever hang out with in real life if they weren't in this group. He's way too immature and insecure. You know that he's wack because every time he gets into a confrontation with someone, he starts yelling; "I ain't scared of you". He sounds like a 5 yr old- who says that??!! Will looks so annoyed at this point. I think he's asking himself; why does Diddy have me in this group with this kid. Dawn has really become one of the most annoying people on the show. Even though she helped Que's "brother" Rob calm down, I'm still trying to figure out why she's always around??!! Why are you at the studio, why are you at dance rehearsal, why are you always home with the guys? Give them some space. Let them be a group. You had your chance; you had a group; you jacked it up. I'm sure the girls hate you even more now after watching that episode! You called them B's and said that they didn't want to be in the group. Good job, Dawn... no one wanted to be in the group but you... Queen Dawn... Diddy's favorite.
A 20 yr old boy does not need his girlfriend around 24-7- sleeping, eating, and working together at that young age. It just isn't a good idea.
Que's trying to be like Dawn. Dawn had some creative control in Danity Kane, so Que wants to go in the studio, give input, work directly with the producers, etc. The difference between Que and Dawn is that Que's ideas are wack and Que isn't a natural leader. When the guys made up, Que said; "I just wanted you guys to listen, I felt like no one was listening to me". He just wants them to use some of his wack ideas. He wants to be a leader. He's like the annoying little brother. Just sit back and chill!!! Like Puff said; "can't ya'll just be cool?", why can't he just go to the studio with a positive attitude and work! That's what Mike does. He's quiet, but he's still cool with everybody. Que didn't even talk for the first two seasons. Why is he trying to run the group all of a sudden?
So, the guys had a 10 min make-up session where they supposedly squashed everything. I'm not sure how you squash "weeks" of crazy behavior in 10 mins. In the back of all of their minds (or at least Brian and Will's), they're thinking that Que's crazy and that he may snap at any time. You can't just act crazy for several weeks and then switch back to normal in 10 mins. That's why when Diddy showed up later that night, Que was looking crazy again. He was looking at Diddy with this smug, cocky look. He's crazy, that's why Diddy checked him; "you made it into this group by the skin of your teeth". I love it! You're not the star, Que. Even though you got screen time this season, you've been made to look like a psychotic fool. I love that Diddy put him on a time-out. That's probably what the guys need. I'm sure that they just wanted to go on the cruise and feel free of drama. If Que would've went on the cruise, they would've had to walk on eggshells. And for anyone who thinks that "the guys made up and everything's cool, now", you're wrong. Once again, you can't erase the memories of someone acting crazy for weeks. They're going to go on interviews and say, "we're brothers, we fight, it's all good", but these guys met a couple of years ago on a TV show. Either you like/respect someone or you don't. Brian and Will probably feel like; "hey, I don't have to truly like this guy, I just need my money".
I'm sure that they're embarrassed that their dirty laundry aired on TV. I'm sure that the radio, TV, and magazine interviews are painful for them because they're getting clowned for being another one of Diddy's jokes AND they have a crazy guy that's fighting random people once a week. Who wants to talk about that in an interview??!! I'd be feeling just like those two- I feel sorry for all four guys. Diddy, get Que some meds!

This week's photo challenge was posing under water. Salome had a "freak out" because she's afraid of water. The first 20 mins of the show focused on that. She was able to overcome her fear and get a pretty decent picture out of it. Jordan won the challenge, although I think that Mountaha had the best photo. Jordon booked the job at her go-see at People's Revolution. Gabriel continued to get on my nerves throughout the episode because he's just too "smug". Branden was also a little annoying because he's pretty arrogant. At the catwalk challenge, my top three was Kerryn, Sandhurst, and Mountaha. The judges picked Sandhurst- FINALLY. Perou (the judge) seemed to be inadvertently flirting with Salome during judging. It was pretty funny. Branden and Gabriel were by far the worst. They finally sent Gabriel home.
We need more Tyson on this show! Give us more Tyson!

I couldn't be happier right now! Lil, Anoop, and Scott were in the bottom three. Lil was saved first, so it was between Anoop and Scott. My dreams came true when Ryan announced that Scott was going home!!! Scott got an opportunity to sing while the judges debated over whether or not to "save" him. They actually seemed to be seriously considering using "the save". I was literally on the edge of my seat because I didn't want them to waste "the save" on Scott! Luckily, Simon let him know that it was "the end of the road" for him! Scott's a really nice guy, but he wasn't ready to make an album, make videos, and sell out shows. Thank you, America!

Tyra, please get rid of Aminat! Her attitude sucks. She causes drama at the beginning of every episode. She's the new Sandra. Natalie's also a little annoying. We're constantly reminded that she's from an affluent community.
The first challenge was an acting challenge with clay Aiken. None of them can really act, but London was the best. She won the challenge and the prize was $5K worth of clothes from Joe's Jeans. Unfortunately, she couldn't fit the jeans :(. I hope she gets her weight under control, she seems like a nice girl. The second challenge was a cover girl commercial. I still continue to like Fo the best... Aminat's commercial was the worst. She couldn't seem to pronounce some of the words properly. The judges had me cracking up when they were doing imitations of her. Allison's commercial was pretty bad, too. She's becoming more and more boring. Tahlia's acting was bad and her personality just seems to be a little dull. I've been trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but when I see her at judging, she just dresses so bad... :(. At eliminations, it came down to Tahlia and Allison. It didn't really matter which one went home... both were pretty bad, but they sent Tahlia home.

So, Jill's house renovation is over- I think she over-did-it a little bit. It's very goddy. But, whatever, I still love Jill. Alex is working on designing Bethenny's logo for her business. I personally wouldn't hire Alex to do anything for me- no matter how good she is...
LuAnn went to an inner city community center to speak to young girls. I don't think that they related to her AT ALL. It was actually pretty uncomfortable watching her try to explain what a Countess is. Kelly tried to "make good" by donating auction items to Jill's charity. No comment....
The majority of this episode was about Jill's tennis match with Mario & Ramona (By the way, Mario is just as annoying as Ramona). Jill's tennis partner couldn't make it so she asked Simon to play instead. The purpose of asking him to play was to "rattle" Mario & Ramona since they hate him so much. The plan kinda backfired and we had to sit through 5 painful mins of watching Simon try to play tennis. Hopefully, something a little more interesting happens next week.

American Idol Season 8 Top 8 Performance Recap 4/8/09

This week, I agreed with Simon's critique of all of the contestants. Is it just me or is Paula getting crazier and crazier each week? The weird thing is: she's making Kara appear crazy, as well. Does Paula have to stand up and clap/dance during every song? Anyway, I would rank the performances like this:
Adam- hands down amazing
Matt- love him- hard to perform a Stevie song & get it right
Danny- consistent each week
Allison- love her, but I get what the judges are talking about; "self indulgent"
Anoop- sounded good, but he's getting to be a little annoying
Kris- ummmm.... what did he sing, again?
Lil Rounds- getting worse each week
Scott- no more- send this guy home- stop babying him- admit that you made a mistake, you should've never put him on this show!
If you missed Adam Lambert's performance, you can catch it here: http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j141/mjsbigblog/Top%208/?action=view&current=adam-top8.flv

Celebrity Apprentice Season 2 Ep 6

This week, Trump mixed up the teams- he put Jesse on the girl's team and Joan and Natalie on the guy's team.
To sum up this episode: I actually think that Dennis was partially right when it comes to Clint.... He's annoying and difficult to work with. The challenge was to create a viral video for ALL detergent. That was a challenge in itself because NO ONE uses ALL. Both teams struggled with being tasteful. Since ALL's slogan is "small and mighty", both teams wanted to use little people as actors. Unfortunately, the "M" word was thrown around quite a bit instead of using the politically correct term: little people. Then, Clint (project manager of the former guy's team) decided that he wanted to make a soft porn infomercial vs a viral video. Clint and Joan had major issues throughout the challenge. Clint was acting like a complete control freak and he alienated his team. Melissa was the project manager on the former girl's team. They worked pretty well together... Almost too well, because Tionne volunteered herself to go into the board room if they lost. When both teams entered the board room, Donald let them know that neither team won the challenge because the client (ALL) felt that both videos were inappropriate for their target audience. When Trump told both PMs to bring two people back to the board room, Melissa took Tionne & Brande, and Clint took Khloe & Natalie (even though he argued with Joan during the entire challenge). Trump shocked us all by sending Tionne home because she "volunteered herself". Then, he sent Khloe home because he found out that she recently had a DUI. Bottom line: Clint needed to go. Trump basically wanted to get rid of both of them because they were quiet and they weren't helping his ratings. Shame on you, Trump.

Hell's Kitchen Season 5 Ep 9

I have no idea who's going to win this season. These are the worst "cooks", not chefs, ever. I seriously can't pick a winner. Carol was really bad, so I'm glad that he got rid of her, but all of them are bad. After seeing the previews, it looks like Chef Ramsey realizes that they all suck too.

Making the Band 4/2/09

Exploitation! Why in the world is Diddy exploiting Que's mental issues to get ratings. He started off by calling the show: Fight Night. Why does he insist on airing their dirty laundry? He clearly knows that this group will only last for another album or two. He just wants to get what he can out of them, while he can... He knows that fighting on reality shows = $. I feel sorry for these kids.
Why do these guys keep calling each other brothers? Did someone tell them that they should say that they're brothers at least once per episode? Is that a requirement of their contract?
I'm starting to wonder if this is even real. Que thinks that people are looking at him funny, he thinks that people are disrespecting him, he never wants to be in the studio, he thinks that Willie and Brian are trying to control the group, he thinks that people are acting for the cameras.... please get him some meds. Does Dawn think that this is normal? Does she realize that her little boyfriend is crazy? Does she want her boyfriend's group to break up too?
I actually felt a little bit bad for Brian (even though he's also a little crazy, too) because the guys seemed to be more upset with him because he "reacted" to crazy Que. I was in complete shock when Que was going off of Screwface. He's really lost his mind.
Que: on another note, it's mandatory that you retire the big glasses- ASAP. With a face like that, you have to be careful what you put on it... Also, get your own style, dude.
Que: sometimes "most talked about" = "most hated". Not sure if that was what you were going for, but you're definitely the most hated- for sure!

The Jalapao tribe continued to struggle this week after losing both the reward challenge and the immunity challenge. They really didn't air much about the Timbira Tribe. The episode started off with Taj and Stephen deciding if they should tell JT about the idol. I didn't understand the idea at first, but by the end of the episode, I understood why she needed to get another person on her side. Sydney continued to "work" Joe with her sexuality. Joe was selected to go to exile island with Erinn. They formed a mini-alliance and they both rec'd clues letting them know that the idol was back at camp. Meanwhile, Taj and Stephen created a fake idol that Joe found when he got back to camp. Taj and Stephen ended up and formally told JT about the idol after they found out that he saw it in Taj's bag. The sad thing about this episode was that even though Taj has the idol, her two alliance members debated about whether or not to vote her out. They were actually considering backstabbing her since once again, the idol is actually in Stephen's possession, not hers. If she only knew how close she's been coming to going home. They sent Sydney home instead (no loss). Hopefully, Taj will get the idol back in her possession before the merge or she'll be leaving soon.

Drama! Aminat and Teyona exploded on Celia, Natalie, and Allison for "conspiring to get rid of Tahlia". They seemed to be more upset about Celia ratting on Tahlia during the last episode, than Tahlia was. The first challenge was posing beside a cardboard cutout of Tyra- Beth Stern (Howard's wife) was there to assist the girls. I was happy to see that Sandra did poorly- Jay basically said that she's falling out of the competition. Natalie won the challenge.
After the challenge, it was good to see Tahlia be a bigger person by sitting down privately with Celia and telling her that she was disappointed about what happened at panel. They seemed to work things out in an adult way. In the photo shoot challenge, each girl had a different color sprayed onto their face. Their job was to display the emotion of the color. Most of the girls had no clue what that meant. Fo, Celia, and Teyona were awesome. Fo had the best pic of the week! Sandra and Celia were in the bottom two. Even though Celia had a great pic (and she has a great fashion sense), she was in the bottom two because she threw Tahlia under the bus. I was happy to see Tyra save her and get rid of Sandra- FINALLY!!!! We're free!

Yes! Jonathan won the photo challenge! This week, the models had to pose "sexually" in groups of three. Sandhurst and Jonathan were the best. Colin continued to break out of his virgin-esque shell, while CJ laughed her way through the challenge in the most immature way possible. The models were weighed and measured this week and Salome is still struggling with her weight.
The catwalk challenge was a "men in skirts/women in suits" challenge. Jonathan and Sandhurst stuck out in that challenge, too. Kerryn also did a good job- she wasn't my pick to win immunity, but she did. Gabriel and CJ were in the bottom two. I would've been fine with either of them going home. They sent CJ home because of her attitude. Nicole Trunfio (the mentor for the girls) seemed to be happy to get rid of her!

Not to my surprise, Megan was eliminated. I was close- it wasn't Scott and Megan in the bottom, it was Anoop and Megan instead. Either way, I'm somewhat satisfied with the outcome. I liked Megan earlier on in the season, but she kinda fell-off as the weeks went on. I agree with the judges- she should've stuck with a Winehouse/Gaga/Duffy/Adele sound. Her song choices were pretty bad. The most interesting part was watching Megan act like she could care less about being in the bottom three. She was making strange smiley faces at the camera, walking around the stage like a bird, and basically laughing at everything that Ryan and the judges said. I wasn't sure if she just gave up or if she was completely drunk. Maybe her and Paula are on the same meds...
When Ryan asked her what she thought about Simon's comments on Tuesday night, she said that she didn't care. That probably wasn't a good answer because when Ryan asked the judges if they were going to save her, Simon said "NO" (right away) and told her to go ahead and sing her Swan Song and say goodbye since she "didn't care" anymore. Bye Megan...
I guess I have another week of Scott (the nice guy). By the way, they may want to refrain from having him dance during the group performances and the Ford commercials- not good.

Real Housewives of New York Season 2 Ep 7

Go Team Bethenny! I am in complete shock over this episode! I'll start off by saying: Real Housewives of NY is SOOOO much better than Real Housewives of Orange County!
Kelly is the rudest person I've ever seen in my life. I have never seen a person speak to a human being the way she spoke to Bethenny. Who talks to people like that? Who says: I'm up here and you're down there. Who does Kelly think she is? I seriously think that this woman has issues. No wonder she just got arrested for punching her boyfriend. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20264471,00.html She's nuts. I'm surprised that she didn't see anything wrong with what she did- she actually called Bethenny childish! What???!!!! Whether or not you think that Bethenny's jealous, you have to admit that Kelly was out of line.
What in the world is wrong with Ramona? I'm starting to think that she's bipolar. For some reason, she really wants to be friends with Kelly- BAD. Then, she continued her Simon obsession by randomly bringing him up to Kelly at the fashion show. Then, just when I thought that she was going to be cordial to Alex and Simon, she explodes on them! I was also shocked to see Mario explode on Jill! what was up with that?

So the writers have finally figured out how to hold our attention! They are only giving us doses of the characters this season. In season 2, they tried to throw too much at us in each episode. Almost to the point that we were confused. This season, they're building more of a story (similar to season 1) and I feel like I can actually follow along. The only problem is that I still feel like I'm not getting enough of Peter and Sylar (although they both got more screen time on this episode). This week, Claire and Nathan continues to hide out in Mexico. Claire decided to get money by playing a drinking game with some young spring breakers. She was able to win all of the money because she can't get drunk (her liver
