American Idol Season 8 Top 9 Performance Recap 3/31/09

This week, the contestants had the opportunity to pick any song from the top downloaded itunes list (which pretty much means any random song). The show kicked off with a forgettable performance by Anoop singing Usher's Caught Up. I mean, the guy can sing, but he's no Usher... it was kinda talent show-ish. Next, Megan sang a Lauren Hill cover of a Bob Marley song- whatever it was--- it was horrible. It was so bad that i didn't recognize it. Danny did a good job singing Rascal Flatts. He's pretty consistent. I have no idea what Scott sung and I'm not sure if I care. PLEASE send him home.
Allison dressed up like a fake Gwen Stefani and performed Don't Speak. Although I like her, I agree with the judges, I barely heard the song because I kept staring at her hair and her outfit. I felt bad for Matt because he actually sounded good singing The Fray, but it was a little karoke-ish. The judges gave him a hard time. I hope he doesn't get sent home... :(
Chris was good, but he's not my favorite. Not sure what's going on with Lil Rounds. I honestly think that she's trying too hard and unfortunately, she's being exposed... her voice isn't that good. I HOPE that Scott and Megan are in the bottom. We'll see!
